DAG Announcement:

Due to the uncertainty of scheduling at the Visual Arts Center of NJ for July and August, we have arranged an alternate meeting site for those months.

The Museum of Early Trades & Crafts in Madison has graciously offered to let us  meet at the Museum on Wednesday July 30 and Wednesday August 27.  It is located at 9 Main Street in Madison, on the corner of Main Street and Green Village Road.  See their website at http://www.metc.org for directions and parking locations

The meetings will start promptly at 7:30 pm as usual, but the Museum will be open at 7 pm to give you a chance to see the magnificent Richardsonian Romanesque Revival building that originally opened in 1900 as the town library.  You will also be able to examine the current special exhibit Crafting Cures: The Practice of Medicine in Early America, a fascinating and sometimes scary view of medical treatment in the 18th and 19th centuries.

Creative Surfaces for the Digital Artist

Sunday, June 29, 10 am - 4 pm

Due to the overwhelming success of Digital Printing on Art Papers when it was presented at the NJ Photography Conference, we are please to announce that Dot Kuehn's Creative Surfaces for the Digital Artist has been added to our Spring-Summer offerings! This workshop is not found in our printed class catalog.

Don't miss this exciting opportunity to learn how to create your own custom surfaces for digital printing. Using specialized inkjet receptive coatings called digital grounds students will learn how to coat, tint and texturize assorted papers as well as nonporous surfaces. The original InkAID® will be used as well as the new line of products from Golden Paints®.  The class includes instruction in the preparation of surfaces, creating digital transfers, and a demonstration on how to properly handle and print using an inkjet printer.
