NJ,
Due to the uncertainty of scheduling at the Visual Arts
Center of NJ for July
and August, we have arranged an alternate meeting site for those months. The Museum of Early Trades & Crafts in Madison has graciously offered to let us meet at the Museum on Wednesday July 30 and Wednesday August 27. The Museum is located at 9 Main Street in Madison, on the corner of Main Street and Green Village Road. See their website at http://www.metc.org for directions and parking locations The meetings will start promptly at 7:30 pm as usual, but the Museum will be open at 7 pm to give you a chance to see the magnificent Richardsonian Romanesque Revival building that originally opened in 1900 as the town library. You will also be able to examine the current special exhibit Crafting Cures: The Practice of Medicine in Early America, a fascinating and sometimes scary view of medical treatment in the 18th and 19th centuries.
