This portfolio is called Public Pathways and consists of numerous large color images made in the local landscape environments designed by Frederick Law Olmsted. His firm designed the park system throughout Union County . My focus has always been on beauty in the landscape and in this case, the park system and several famous trees in Union County. The complete exhibit has a balance of images between the elements of turf, wood and water reflecting many of the design elements typical within an Olmsted park. Some are romantic in style and provide a strong contrast to the local towns, some are bold forms or use a vista as an aesthetic organizing element, some are planned or contain artistically composed plantings and some provide a formal element.

The project came about through a series of grants received from the Union County Freeholders between 1998-2000. At the time they were called HEART Grants (History, Education, and Art Reaching, Thousands). I was awarded a series of six grants for various photography projects to benefit the county. My first formal exhibit of this collection was at the Liberty Science Center in 2004 where 500,000 people viewed my work during a six month exhibit. The county has since awarded me the Woman of Excellence Award in Arts and Humanities for my contributions.
