All my life I have been fascinated with photography and have spent many years taking photographs. I have spent the last few years learning how to make a photograph. I donʼt think I ever understood what Ansel Adams meant when he said there was a difference.

My photographs are an expression of what I feel and visualize when I am looking out at a magnificent landscape, peering up at a tree, stumbling through a stream, tripping on a rock, or wherever. There is always something that grabs my attention and says, “Look at me!” First, a photograph has to please me and meet my expectations. Then, if just one of my photographs can make a person look at a familiar subject in a different way and that brings them pleasure, then and only then have I accomplished my goal.
